i am so privileged to have such wonderful friends. tracey and i met in the photo lab while i was still shooting weddings on film. she used to get the lovely task of developing and color correcting my weddings since i trusted no one else. since then, our friendship has grown into something more personal. now, one of my closest friends, we are learning together the trials of pregnancy and raising babies. our husbands just like to sit and watch baseball and football together when they have the chance.

so in may, we drove up to navarre beach, fl for karah and michael’s wedding weekend. i had the opportunity and pleasure of being the wedding photographer (which i love to do for family-since i don’t trust family to just anyone). you wanna talk crazy weather?! first it was raining sideways and the next minute it was sunny but the wind would blow you away! thank goodness karah is low key and calm-she just went with the flow of things. i got the impression that as long as she and michael were married by the end of the day, it was success in her book. not only am i am extremely pleased with the pictures, but we all had a great time reconnecting¬†as a¬†family.

it was a shorter day than normal for me in treasure island, but jason and stacy’s ceremony was intimate and passionate as they exchanged their vows with only close friends and family surrounding them.

these two wanted a florida beach wedding so bad, they came in from new york to do it! we had a great time on clearwater beach in april with kim and jason! again…i am becoming more impressed, but also grateful that today’s brides are thinking adding personal details to make their wedding their own.
