is it possible?! have i really caught up on my blogging?!! beside the the one wedding i’m currently editing and the one i will shoot tomorrow….i’m caught up!!! sucha weight off my shoulders! now i just have to keep up with it!

anyways…so our first meeting/night shoot with all the artsy-fartsy tampabay area photographers went off without a hitch! thanks to brian and briana from dlweddings.com for hosting it and all the talented photographers that came out. an extra special thanks to our wonderful couples/models!! the idea and purpose is to start getting together once a month to help stay creative and learn from each other. i will be the first to admit that a lack of light scares me a little, so this night shoot was a challenge for me. i learned so much!

my family headed to the strawberry festival in february for a concert so i decided to bring along the camera in hopes to capture some nightime lights of the rides and vendors. i wish cameras had “smell-a-picture”. i love fairs and all the delicious popcorn-corndog-cotton candy mix of smells!

this one is my favorite of the day.

february 14th was a gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding! kathleen and daniel held their wedding in their own backyard and a wonderful backyard it is! they said “i do” on the back porch of the house. the atmosphere was personal and quaint with a little beach bon-fire and drinks chilling in the canoe.

these two were hilarious! we had the best time at this wedding in january. the reception was at the kapok pavilion and olympia catering did a wonderful job with the cake and food!

back in november ’08 i stopped by one of my favorite family’s home, the maynards, to photograph the newest addition to their family, penelope. this session seemed to get lost in my delayed blogging. i was fortunate enough to photograph kelli and jason’s wedding a couple years back and they have remained annual clients and more importantly, friends. i cherish the time i get to spend photographing this beautiful family.

this is why i love what i do! i always feel so honored when an old friend calls to have photos done of a new stage in their life. i feel as though, in a small way, i was able to be a part in helping preserve that time in their life. brandi and bobby are patiently waiting on their little girl, taylor to make her appearance. brandi was goregous and bobby was so patient with us (most guys aren’t). i simply couldn’t choose a favorite image from this session!

what a day on december 26th! these two were great along with their huge bridal party! the decor was elegant yet contemporary as katie’s dress was vintage and the guys sported converse. the theme carried into the reception, at the palmetto club in fishhawk, with a polka dotted cake. in short…an awesome day!

november was a busy month in ’08 and it was a pleasure working with mabelissa and david. the davis island garden club hosted a great night for all the family and friends!

in the beginning of november ’08, rachel and justin tied the knot in lakeland at hollis gardens. although we fought the rain all day, i was thrilled with the results!

cynthia and michael said “i do” on october 31, 2008 at the lange farm in dade city. the atmosphere was inviting and elegant with touches of halloween festivities.
