Children and Families

i was thrilled when laura contacted me again a few years after i shot their wedding to do baby/family pictures. talyor is the most precious chunky monkey girl ever! so squishable and kissable! ps…i only use the term chunky monkey as the best compliement!

i could resist this one! just may be my favorite of the day!

i love taking pictures for my family (when they let me)…ok ok…i usually don’t give them a choice. my nephew, zachary and his sweet wife, casey (along with big sister, emma) are waiting on the arrival of miss lilly ann.

congratulations to stacey and francois on their sweet new baby boy, luke! he didn’t want to sleep for most of our session, but he was so calm and relaxed.

he sleeps…

i look forward to this time of year to get a little creative for this family and do something a little different than last. these sweet girls have a birthday 2 weeks apart from each other (stephanie, that’s correct?). i’m sure they have their moments of “sisterly bickering” at home, yet they are nothing but kind and loving to each other every time i see them.

you might remember this “little” guy from a while back. https://abbeysaxtonphotography.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/baby-colton/ i was lovin’ the sun in this session-though still pretty high (and hot) in the sky, i’m so happy with all the sun glare! happy birthday colton!

Ok…so this year I’m trying something new. Since everyone is in the saving mode, this will help everyone get what they want! This turn out will determine whether I do this each season or not. Bring out the fall colors (not necessarily the warm clothes though). I will bring some fall-ish decor (not cheesy) and provide waters!

Fall Mini Sessions
Date: September  18th Time: 4pm-6:30pm
Where: Kate Jackson Park, Tampa (near Hyde Park)
Price: $65 per session

Each session is 15 minutes in length. Included to each client will be the high res. edited/retouched images on disk and rights to images so you may print as many as you like. The park has a great playground, brick walkway area, wrought iron gates, and fountains (so bring a towel and change of clothes for the kids).

i’m so flippin’ excited about this one!!!! i wish someone would come do this for me! natural is what it’s all about! leslie approached me with her idea of shooting “a day in the life” -since she is returning to work in the fall, she wanted to capture and remember this sweet time in her life as a mommy to trent and lila (not like its’ ending). and an awesome mommy she is! this has to be my all time favorite session EVER!! thanks leslie. i had a blast! check out her blog at http://drywallanddiapers.blogspot.com/

a little bit of a break…*sigh*

we just couldn’t keep him curled up. he already sleeps like a boy.

you’ll have to excuse my “sentimental-ness”… its just great to watch these boys grow up in my pictures. i have been capturing these little boys ever since the first, christian, was crawling. now luke is running around- bruises and all. not sure if boys are supposed to be this beautiful, but my camera loves them!

just loved this one!

take ONE

that’s better!

ok…photographer friends, this is what happens in lighting when you shoot on FL sand in at 11am. amazing light! who needs flashes and reflectors!

this one warms my heart.

i leave you with one of luke running…and watching the birdies…maybe this is how he gets his bruises.

i was fortunate enough to photograph nick and jamey’s gorgeous wedding about 2 years ago and since then have done some ocassional photography work for a family event planning business. it’s such a privilege to know honest and talented vendors. sweet olivia has now entered the picture and of course, has capture her mommy and daddy’s hearts. here they are as a family of three!
